Privacy Policy
Last reviewed: 1 May 2026.
This policy explains how BookiePrice Pty Ltd (ABN 38 642 901 173), the operator of BookiePrice and the website bookiprice.com, collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
- Identity data: name, date of birth, residential address, government ID details, photographs of ID.
- Account data: email, phone, username, password hash, deposit limits, self-exclusion status.
- Transaction data: deposits, withdrawals, bets placed, winnings, bonus history.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser, device identifiers, pages viewed, time-stamps.
- Communications: emails, chat transcripts, recorded calls to our support line. You will be told if a call is being recorded.
2. Why we collect it
To open and operate your account, verify your identity under AML/CTF law, process transactions, prevent fraud and integrity breaches, comply with regulator and tax obligations, monitor for harmful gambling behaviour, and (where you have opted in) send marketing.
3. Who we share it with
- Identity verification providers (e.g. document and address checks).
- Payment processors and banks for deposits and withdrawals.
- Cloud hosting providers operating in Australia, with sub-processing only in jurisdictions with comparable privacy protections.
- Regulators: the Northern Territory Racing Commission, AUSTRAC, sporting integrity bodies and law enforcement on lawful request.
- Our auditors, advisers and insurers, subject to confidentiality obligations.
4. Marketing and your choices
If you opt in, we may send promotional emails, SMS and push notifications about wagering products. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or your account settings. We never send marketing to customers who:
- are self-excluded;
- have asked us to stop;
- are within a 7-day deposit-limit cool-off; or
- have opened an account within the last 24 hours (we don't send pre-account-verification marketing).
5. How long we keep it
We retain identity, account and transaction data for the period required by the AML/CTF Act and Northern Territory licensing conditions — generally seven years from the date of account closure. Marketing preferences are kept indefinitely so we can honour an opt-out.
6. Cookies and analytics
See our Cookie Policy. Necessary cookies operate the site. Analytics and marketing cookies do not run unless you opt in via the banner.
7. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can request access to and correction of your personal information.
You may also ask us to delete or de-identify personal information where we are not required to retain it by law.
To make a privacy request, email privacy@bookiprice.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
8. Security
We use TLS for transport, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access control, and 24/7 monitoring. We will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and affected individuals of any eligible data breach as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs, email privacy@bookiprice.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
