Self-exclusion & BetStop
Last reviewed: 1 May 2026.
Self-exclusion is a tool that stops you from wagering for a set period. There are two flavours: operator-level (you exclude only from BookiePrice) and national (you exclude from every licensed Australian online wagering operator at once, via BetStop).
BetStop — the National Self-Exclusion Register
BetStop is run by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). When you register, every licensed Australian online wagering operator — including us — must close your account, stop sending you marketing, and refuse new accounts in your name for the period you choose: 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 5 years, or life.
Register at betstop.gov.au. There is no cost. You'll need your driver's licence, passport, or other government ID.
Operator self-exclusion
To self-exclude only from BookiePrice:
- Open Account > Self-exclusion.
- Choose a period — 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 12 months, 5 years, or permanent.
- Confirm. The exclusion takes effect immediately.
During an exclusion we will:
- Manage any open bets in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and applicable market rules.
- Return any cleared balance to your verified bank account or PayID.
- Remove you from all marketing channels.
- Refuse any new accounts you try to open during the exclusion period.
What happens at the end of the period
Operator-level exclusions remain in place for the period selected. We will not lift an exclusion early. If you choose to return after the exclusion period ends, we may require written confirmation and may ask you to review responsible gambling tools before reopening access.
Permanent exclusion
Permanent exclusion cannot be reversed. If you choose this option you will not be able to hold a BookiePrice account again.
